Of decorating, Chaos, Mango's, Lambs and a picnic...

Sunday, 4 March 2012

These last 2 weeks have been a flurry of activity with the house... my 'in between' bit outside the larder door was re painted and shelved by Eldest. Mr F popped the fridge underneath and I sorted and tidied and all was well!

The hideous mess that was masquerading as the spare room... was 'mended' by Mr F. Completely redecorated by me and invaded by Littlest last weekend!

And it turned out a treat!

My new Sewing / Wool room is looking rather swiz too! Its like walking into a wool shop... how indulgent... its making me want to make a new dress for the Spring...

Wonderful to see all of my knitting and sewing books in one place... I shall start sorting fabric next weekend.

And look what Littlest found inside a Mango...

It was so beautiful. She planted it so carefully up in the greenhouse so fingers crossed it grows!

And Frederica...

Who has since moved to her new red coat. Its the sleeve of a jumper. I had the idea in bed at 1.30 this morning... when she woke the whole house demanding her bottle...

And finally... due to the stunning weather we had last week... the first picnic of the year!

Working on a huge batch of shoe orders so its nose to the grindstone all of next week for me. Hope you all have something wonderful planned. I now have an appointment with my knitting bag and The Voyage of the Dawntreader, on DVD... my Sunday treat!

  4. I love coming to 'visit' your house. :) I am stunned by what your eldest has achieved! What amazing skills to be taken away into the world one day!
Your sewing room reminds me of my auntie's. When I was a child I used to love going into her knitting room where she'd have shelves like this stacked full of the toys she'd made to sell at fairs. I wasn't allowed to touch them but I remember how magical it all was. :)
