Snow, Ponies, Plaster, Paint...

Across the valley yesterday...

Pipkin going through her paces with Middlest...

Snow falling...

Realising I was invisible because my 50 year old tweed coat blended in like speckled pepper dust...

Work on Littlest's new bedroom begins with half a wall being torn away...

Radiator removed for the dastardly deed...

Mr F has within a week repanelled and its all ready for me to decorate...

Prior to panelling, damp course and all that technical stuff that happens beneath walls!

Window, likewise relined and a pot of white undercoat at the ready! Im going to be ever so plain and just do all the woodwork in white satin finish and the walls in antique cream. Bright and cheery for Littlest and a good backdrop for her colourful belongings.

And when she moves to her new room... I get to have her old room to completely devote to wool... And after that, an entire decluttering programme in the house begins. This time Im actually going to get rid of stuff instead of just relocating it somewhere else in the house. Ive yet to absorb the fact that decluttering means to actually remove the item from your possesion altogether! But, I am coming to terms with this... slowly!

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

  1. I am so trying to declutter...its hard getting rid of things and stuff. I love stuff. But I am trying to be ruthless. The room is going to look great. I love wood paneling it gives a room a warmth.

  2. Mmmm wool! I love it. I rug hook and applique with it. I thought your love was leather. What do you do with wool? :-)

  3. Oh dear...decluttering! I am such a hoarder, I KNOW I'll feel better and my head will be less muddled if I get rid of stuff, but somehow the "but it might come in handy one day" always seems to get the better of me! I think it's a product of being the generation caught between the 'make do, reuse' generation and the 'throw it out and buy a new one' generation. So I tend to do both!

  4. I'm green with envy at a room devoted to wool :) But I hate decluttering, I seem to spend my life trying to achieve it but actually only relocating stuff!! Good luck with it all, Mary
